Firsts

Today I had my first meal in a new home with my first visitors on my first day as a college student living on my own for the first time with my first real roommate and now I'm going to close my eyes and slowly breathe and fall quietly asleep for the first time in my new bed. Goodnight, to all of you and especially to those with whom my heart remains. Goodnight my friends.
Sleep well.

(I was waiting for that)

Thanks. I'm glad I'm doing well too, although I miss all y'all more than should be legal, especially considering you're all just down the road a wee bit. Once I get settled into a routine I want to get together with y'all fairly often if I can (and remember, I live about five minutes from the Gardens now...)

I looked at your site, and I like it, if your interested in a liquid minerals supplement, check out www.liquid-minerals-vitamins.com.

Colorado climatologist battles NY Times reporter in e-mail spat
The mini-drama unfolded this week on a Colorado Climate Center weblog and illustrates the volatile nature of the climate change debate.
Nice to see some decent content for a change. FYI, I log on today and see that we've got a new feature, the 'Flag blog' button, which is inconveniently located between the 'Get Your Own Blog' and 'Next Blog' buttons so that we would presumably be getting some flags on error alone (although if one happens to notice it, you can unflag a blog) But that's a trivial matter. What concerns me is this: When a person visiting a blog clicks the "Flag?" button in the Blogger Navbar, it means they believe the content of the blog may be potentially offensive or illegal. We track the number of times a blog has been flagged as objectionable and use this information to determine what action is needed. This feature allows the blogging community as a whole to identify content they deem objectionable. Ok, see the problem with this? What's "objectionable." I'm guessing there are a good deal of people that would likely deem my blog to be objectionable; and there lies the problem: what is objectionable and what is subjective. Just my 2 cents, Groove Gear

To all anonymous blog spammers, and I mean this in the nicest way possible (except not really): Go to hell and die.
Thank you very much.

Now leave me alone.

... hehe :)

Hope you were able to actually get to sleep in your new bed. New stuff really is great. Tonight, for the first time ever, I stood in a huge field outside campus for half an hour and watched an amazing lightning storm get closer and closer, all the while with a fresh breeze whipping through my hair. For once, ORU actually looked extremely beautiful on the horizon... with the lights and the amazing lightning, (and the architecture from pluto) it felt very much like I was in Close Encounters of a Third Kind. Especially with the huge cloud formations that were swirling ominously above my head. Seriously, it was a TOTAL existential moment. And through all of this, not a drop of rain.

Then the rain came.

I sat in a car for half an hour and watched the rain and hail pummel the campus... the building that we had been standing near on the other side of campus could no longer be seen for the precipitation. The radio was blasting excellent funk and 70's rock, and my seat was reclined well into the empty back seat. When the rain finally let up, I ran and said goodbye, at least until tommorrow.

That's a memory right thar...

I believe the current score in the Collegiate Blogger Bowl is something like this:

Oral Roberts: 1 Gazillion
Duke: 1

The scoreboard don't lie.

gazillion? is that even a word? puh-lease... (yeah, so the non-collegiate score isn't so good either...)
